The Museum of Modern Art launches free museum nights with UNIQLO

From March, you will be able to enter the Museum of Modern Art free of charge for UNIQLO NYC Parties!

Beginning March 4, MoMA and UNIQLO are offering free admission to New York residents on the first Friday of each month from 4-8 p.m. On these days, you can explore the museum for long hours and enjoy its second-floor cafe and museum shop. UNIQLO NYC Nights are part of the ten-year partnership between the two organizations.

You won’t want to miss MoMA’s upcoming exhibitions “Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme: May Amnesia Never Kiss Us on the Lips” (April 23 to June 26) and “Henri Matisse: The Red Studio” (May 1 to September 10).

UNIQLO and MoMA are also extending their “UNIQLO Art Speaks” to “UNIQLO Art for All Digital Series,” which shares museum staff’s personal experiences with artwork in galleries on MoMA’s website and YouTube.

If you’re a fan of the museum and the apparel company, you can find apparel and accessories inspired by iconic works of art in all US UNIQLO stores starting March 7. The collection, “MoMA Art Icons UT”, includes “The Starry Night (1889)” and “The Water Lilies (1914-1926)” by Claude Monet. The items bear the MoMA logo to “symbolize the partnership with UNIQLO and a shared commitment to improving everyday life through the appreciation of great art”.

To attend UNIQLO NYC Nights, you must book your tickets one week in advance. Same-day movie tickets will also be free for New Yorkers, available onsite, after 4 p.m. You will need to prove your residency in New York and your vaccination status.
